Chronos WPF is a framework for development of MDI applications using Windows Presentation Foundation.

The metro theme is based on Cosmopolitan Theme
SingleInstance class implementation is based on Fishbowl
WindowElement is based on WPF Application Framework
Some Desktop related code is based on _WPF Diagram Designer
Drag & Drop support is based on Jaime Rodriguez Blog
Digital Clock widget is based on MoonyDesk clock.
HeaderNotification control is based on a nRoute sample control.

I'm having a hard time getting my head around the "Introduction to" document. Are there any sample solutions? Also, I'm unable to install the Chronos VS extension which reports this exception:

Install Error : System.IO.PathTooLongException: C:\Users\andrew.stephens\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\Extensions\Carlos Guzmán Álvarez\Chronos VisualStudio Item Templates\1.0\ItemTemplates\CSharp\1033\Chronos.VisualStudio.BasicWindowViewModel.zip: Chronos.VisualStudio.BasicWindowViewModel.vstemplate

Hi Thank for such a great UI for WPF, i want to ask about validation :

Is it we do validation for entity in this method
OnInquiryAction(InquiryActionResult<UserEnquiry> result) ? or you have better suggestion? how do i validate business object from UI to Business layer.

I try out on your sample (LoginViewModel.cs)
protected override void OnInquiryAction(InquiryActionResult<UserLogin> result)

When above code is show dialog of message service, then all the windows will close, view become virtual desktop also blank (all the windows close), please guide how to validate, how to show message service from validation.

im making test on your framework and i have got this error

i overwrite the OnSaveAction() method in my viewmodel

in the method i show a messagebox like this

IShowMessageViewService messageBoxService = this.GetViewService<IShowMessageViewService>();

messageBoxService.ButtonSetup = DialogButton.Ok;

messageBoxService.Caption = "Aviso";

messageBoxService.Text = "se ha guardado con exito";

messageBoxService.ShowMessage();

then i call the method close(); and i get this error in the VirtualDesktop.cs file in line 346

El subproceso que realiza la llamada no puede obtener acceso a este objeto porque el propietario es otro subproceso.

Impressed with your work, i tried using your extension and your project here on codeplex.

On both my computers (Win 7 x 64 and my laptop (Win XP SP3), i'm having trouble installing the extension.

I couldn't see the installation error on my newest computer, but it could be opened on my laptop, with the following message:

If someone else gets the error.

You can extract the extension with winzip / winrar (like i did).

And extract them to :

Item Templates - %VSInstallDir%\Common7\IDE\ItemTemplates\
Project Templates - %VSInstallDir%\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\

It could be interesting to change the path though ;) . But i have also provided a workarround if someone else experiences the same problem.

Thanks for your efforts! Chronos WPF is an awesome project! I also saw you are creating a sample app based on the microsoft spain - nlayer app, how is that working out ?

So, first this is awesome.Second i don't know how to implement this.

I installed vs extension, and i added workspace window and i created workspace viewmodel for that workspace.

And there is this code:

public sealed class TestWinViewModel
	:WorkspaceViewModel<ModelClass>
{
//....
}

And i have error where ModelClass is.

So do you guys have some example app, or can you help me with this, or something, because i don't know how to implement this?

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - when I run it, I got the exception in the method of base.OnStartup(ex) in the App.xaml.cs file like the followings. BTW, I am using System.Windows.Interactivity with "3.5.0.0". Any ideas? Thanks. + $exception {"Unable to load one or more of the requested types. The control templates for the tab items needs to be above the style of the tab items, but so far everything else works fine.

Also, you may want to reverse the fonts to Segoe UI , Segoe WP instead of Segoe WP, Segoe UI.

Just my thoughts on the project...
